Beef Wellington Recipe

"Impress your guests with this classic and elegant Beef Wellington! 🥩

Ingredients:

🔸️ 1 lb beef tenderloin

🔸️ Salt and pepper, to taste

🔸️ 1 tbsp olive oil

🔸️ 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

🔸️ 1/2 lb mushrooms, finely chopped

🔸️ 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

🔸️ 1 egg, beaten

Instruction:

🔸️ Prepare the Beef: Season the beef tenderloin with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the beef on all sides until browned. Remove from heat and brush with Dijon mustard. Let it cool.

🔸️ Prepare the Mushrooms: In the same skillet, sauté the chopped mushrooms until they release their moisture and it evaporates. Let the mixture cool

🔸️ Assemble the Wellington: Lay out the puff pastry sheet. Spread the mushroom mixture in the centre. Place the beef on top of the mushrooms. Wrap the beef and mushrooms in the puff pastry, sealing the edges with beaten egg. Brush the top with egg wash.

🔸️ Bake: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the wrapped beef on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the beef is cooked to your liking

🔸️ Serve: Let the Beef Wellington rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve and enjoy!
