Fish Curry Recipe

Ingredients

🔸️500g fish fillets

🔸️ 2 tbsp vegetable oil

🔸️ 1 large onion, finely chopped

🔸️ 2 tomatoes, chopped

🔸️ 3 cloves garlic, minced

🔸️ 1-inch piece ginger, grated

🔸️ 2 green chilies, slit

🔸️ 1 tsp mustard seeds

🔸️ 1 tsp cumin seeds

🔸️ 1 tsp turmeric powder

🔸️ 2 tsp coriander powder

🔸️ 1 tsp red chili powder

🔸️ 1 tsp garam masala

🔸️ 1 cup coconut milk

🔸️ Salt to taste

🔸️ Fresh coriander leaves

Instructions:

🔸️ In a bowl, marinate the fish fillets with a pinch of salt and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder. Set aside for 15 minutes.

🔸️ Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

🔸️ Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for another minute until fragrant.

🔸️ Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook until they become soft and oil begins to separate.

🔸️ Stir in the remaining turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

🔸️ Gently place the marinated fish fillets into the pan. Pour in the coconut milk and bring to a simmer.

🔸️ Reduce the heat to low and let the fish cook for about 10 minutes, or until fully cooked through.

🔸️ Sprinkle the garam masala over the curry and gently stir. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

🔸️ Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or naan.
